5.0 out of 5 stars Better shave than the cheaper blades Been using the Amazon brand razors for a while now and tried these for a change. The Amazon blades are good and a great value but there is a little pull when shaving.. also, sometimes you have to go over spots a few times.. These Gillette blades are night and day better!! I could not believe the difference of how easy and smooth the shave is. I wish these were a little cheaper (only drawback). However, for someone who shaves face and head, the price difference is worth it for me.. 2 people found this helpful

4.0 out of 5 stars Smooth Shave I have been using an electric shaver most of my life (73) This is my first use of razor for many years. It gave me a close comfortable shave, whereas the shaver irritated my skin. The only down side I can say is that after 5 or 6 uses, the blades have dulled and pull a lot on the whiskers thus requiring a new blade. This may be normal, as I said I am new to razors. I just thought they would stay sharp longer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Long lasting blades with the right shaving gel After a lot of research, I switched to Cremo shaving gel and now I get very smooth, closer shaves and the Gillette blades last much longer. I have a very thick beard and sensitive skin, which really puts razors and shaving cream/gel to the test.For an even better shave, I recommend getting a Gillette battery operated Power ProGlide razor. My son recommended the Gillette Power razor to me, years ago. I was hesitant to try them, but once I did I have never gone back to any manual razor. The Gillette Power razor is quick and shaves close with no nicks or cuts, which is saying a lot with my very thick beard and sensitive skin. 3 people found this helpful

I finally decided to treat myself to a better comfort , so , first , I ordered the Bigelow shave foam which is absolutely incredible , although a little expensive and second , ordered the Fusion ProGlide razors .My beard is one of those that have the facial hair that grow in different directions and it is very hard .With the Bigelow cream and these new 5 blades ProGlide razors , shaving now is not a big deal anymore .True , they both cost more but to me it is worth it .From now on , no more cheapy razors or cheapy cream , lol... I read reviews which said this shaver gives the closest shave so I bought it. It gives me the closest shave I have ever had. No more need for blades. 5.0 out of 5 stars Happy to be back with Gillette I ordered this razor out of desperation. For several years, I was a happy Harry's Shave Club customer. I liked the razor, the shave gel, subscription service, everything. Then, Harry's sold their company to Edgewell. After that, the quality of the blades took a nose dive. I could not shave without cutting or nicking my face. I tried several different razors and was not pleased with any of them.One of the reasons I left Gillette was the comparatively high price of the blades. I had used the 5 blade Fusion razor for a long time. I ordered the 4 blade version. My first shave was amazing: not cuts or nicks. I got a very good, close shave without any extra effort that lasted all day and night. The ensuing shaves have been just what I'd come to expect from Gillette. My memory of my previous history with Gillette is that I expect more shaves per cartridge. I’ve dealt with skin irritability and razor burn a lot in the past and have tried a plethora of products to help. However, getting in lieu of heading to bootcamp I needed to find another product aside from my safety edge Rockwell(phenomenal btw), to help alleviate these symptoms while providing an extremely close shave in less time. After a week of daily use of the proglide I couldn’t be more pleased with its ease of use, maneuverability, and close shave. I’ve had no problems with razor burn after using it with shaving cream and Nivea sensitive skin aftershave. This razor is a lifesaver. 3 people found this helpful

I chose Harry’s Razor because they were cheaper and there was a lot of positive ( likely self generated) hype about Harry’s. I noted that the Harry’s razors weren’t all that smooth feeling and lasted only a few shaves. So zi made this switch to Gillette and I couldn’t be more pleased.
